Common Questions

What Homeowners Ask

Does a kitchen remodel need permits?
If we're moving plumbing, gas, or electrical — or taking down a wall — yes, and moving a wall can carry structural and code implications with it. We handle the permitting and inspections so the work is documented and sound, which also protects you at resale.
Will a high-output range need special ventilation?
Powerful ranges can require a properly sized hood and make-up air to meet code and actually clear the air. We plan the ventilation to the appliances you're choosing, not a generic assumption.
Can I use the rest of my home during the work?
Usually. A kitchen is disruptive but contained — we set up the job to keep the rest of the home livable and give you an honest picture of the weeks without a working kitchen.
Do you build from my designer's selections?
Yes. We build to your designer's specifications and manage the long-lead items — cabinetry especially — so the schedule reflects real lead times.
